The beautiful Villa, the friendliest staff, the nice food and especially great Yoga Sessions in the amazing room with seaview made this stay perfect! The best host organizes everything you need so you don't have to worry about a thing. Food is always fresh and yummy and lovely Hassan is always around to clean, serve food, pour mint tea and especially Smile! I would definately recommend this place for any Yoga and Surf holidays

More then what I could have dreamt of!
The Villa, the staff, the yoga and the food was amazing.
Aika is such a wonderful host, and I loved both Rosalin and Jessy's Yoga classes, for different reasons.
The Food was incredible, a healthy fusion of raw and traditional Moroccan cuisine. I am Vegan and was well catered for the whole time.
The Beach is wonderful, so quiet and peaceful and so well looked after. I was happy to just relax there for the whole holiday, but did manage a trip to Marrakech and a day of surfing which I would highly recommend.
I came alone and stayed in a shared room. I think that was one of the best parts of the whole trip, because I have now gained some new friends for life

Everything I wanted and more!
The villa is stunning and the staff is incredible. Aika was a lovely host, the food was delicious, and Jesse & Rosalyn were two of the best yoga instructors
I've ever had. The views from the yoga shala are beautiful, especially during sunset.
I'd also recommend stargazing in the jacuzzi at night, so relaxing!

I loved staying at Villa Surya
I only have positive things to say about my stay at Villa Surya. Everything was beyond expectations. The room was beautiful, had my own bathroom and a
balcony with an ocean view. And the room was cleaned every day, so it was nice coming back after a long day at the beach. Waking up every morning with
fresh air from the ocean, and listening to the birds sing. Can it be better?
I was a bit worried about the vegetarian food, because I normally eat meat. But the food was so good. I didn't miss anything the whole week! If I lived at Villa Surya I would definitely become a vegetarian. I never tried surfing before I came to Morocco. But the surf instructors were great! After just an hour or two I could stand up on my board. Amazing! Had fun surfing every day.
It was also my first time trying yoga. The villa had two different yoga teachers, each with different styles of yoga. I loved both of them. But my favorite class had to be Jesse's. He also gives a really good Thai massage. After just one week practicing yoga I feel addicted, and miss the yoga at the Villa so much now that I have arrived back home.
A big thank you to Loredana and Mo for making my booking and stay such an amazing experience.

Great people, fabulous yoga holiday
My experience at the Villa Surya was more than I could have expected.
The atmosphere in the house was relaxing and the staff was more than accommodating.
It was the staff and the people I met during my stay that made it such a memorable experience.
Traveling alone is not unusual in the Villa, and I shared a room with another lone traveler. We got along famously, as did all of the guests and staff present in the house.
The yoga was fantastic. Teacher Jesse does a great job of ensuring that people at ALL levels within the class take something meaningful away from the practice. During the day you are free to do as you please - read, relax, visit the beach - but the Villa also plans many great day trips and excursions if you're interested.
I tried it all. Surfing, day trips to Paradise Valley and Essaouira (my two favorites), and loved all of it.
The food prepared by Hassan was amazing! And Hassan couldn't be nicer! Meal time was a great chance to sit around with the other guests and Villa staff
members and have good conversation over delicious food. These are some of my favorite memories from the trip.
As a whole, I would highly recommend the Villa Surya to someone looking for a quiet, reflective, healthy yoga holiday. The bonus is the people you will meet along the way.

Lovey place in a superb town
Stayed here for a week on my own with a room with a view. Fab place. Stunning view. Totally chilled out. I did yoga mainly and surfing one day.
Jamie was a really Amazing yoga instructor and I got the best massage ever from her. She was incredible. Yoga is held twice per day at 7 & 530pm on the roof top. Wow. Although it was very disappointing that no yoga went ahead when it was raining. Although I appreciate they receive so little rain per annum they don't normally need a contingency plan.
The location is fantastic. Taghazout is a really lovely town which I would highly recommend. It is not over run with tourists (yet!). The locals are so friendly. It is a really chilled out place. I went to Agadir for a day when it was raining to the Souks. It was awful.
Re the food I am hugely into food and found when in Marrakech & Essauria last year that I was a little disappointed and again this time. Would not really rate the food in the surf house that much but it's not bad if you are not fussy or not really into food. I ate in Surf Maroc cafe next door quite a few times despite having an all inclusive package. Their food and homemade drink here were good and the vibe in the cafe was fab.
Overall I would recommend DFrost as a place to stay and surf and do yoga sole traveller or otherwise. Staff are quite friendly with Jamie and Olivia benign particularly nice and welcoming.

Surf and yoga retreat
I am overwhelmed by the amazing atmosphere, beautiful decor and peace at Villa Surya. The hospitality of the staff was amazingly friendly and the food was healthy yet very very satisfying and tasty. The surfing and yoga was both thrilling and grounding. Such a perfect combination. I will recommend anyone, in a heartbeat, to visit this wonderful place in Morocco.

Great place for a downtime!
I traveled to Morocco with a good friend of mine. We stayed there for 7 days. The hosts are great and very helpful. The food was delicious. we enjoyed the Yoga and the surfing. The Instructors are really helpful and the quiet and calm environment is perfect for a downtime of your stressful daily life. I definitely recommend to spent you vacation at the Villa Suriya. Room Tip: Actually each room I saw was really nice, so any room you choose will be nice. ;)

I spent a week at the yoga villa and had the most wonderful stay. The hosts / staff Niama and Hassan were just lovely, made us feel so welcome and nothing
was too much trouble for them.
I shared a room in the Shems. Rooms were really clean and comfortable with a private shower.
There are 2 yoga teachers at the villa - expect very different styles! One teaches kundalini, the other is more like advanced Hatha style. I enjoyed both. The yoga studio is at the top of the villa so perfect for watching the sunrise and set. You can surf everyday if you want, they pick you up at 11 and take you to wherever the best waves are.
You can do excursions too, or you can simply chill at the villa and soak up the moroccan sun! Food was great, mainly veggie although you can ask for fish or meat.
Breakfast is delicious, try the amlou made at the villa, I'm now addicted! I'd highly recommend the villa for a yoga holiday and can't praise it enough really. Will definitely go back :)

Oneness and relaxation
We stayed in Villa Surya for 1 week in February 2015. The pick up from the airport was great! The villa is very welcoming and so are the hosts. Laid back attitude, you can really do whatever you want, if you want to skip a yoga class you can, if you want to surf they come and get you.....everything is possible! We didn't skip one yoga class because we are kind of addicted to kundalini yoga and at that moment yoga teacher Rupert was in the villa who is a kundalini teacher so it couldn't be better for us. In the evening you can get in the hot tub or sauna or just relax. We were here as a couple but all the others came alone, it's a real good place and very safe if you're coming alone. The people are very nice and friendly. The food was excellent! In the morning and evening the food is soo good, you overeat I guarantee. The surf teachers are great to, we never surfed before and at the end of the week we could stand up due to the great lessons. We've had a wonderful trip and met some great new friends! Room Tip: Every room is a good room, just let them know if you want an en-suite bathroom.
