Meet the Team: Adam
We caught up with Adam, one of our talented Villa Surya yoga teachers (you may recognise him from the Surf House too!) to chat about his favourite secret
spot and what he's learnt working in a predominantly female environment.
Hi Adam, where are you from?
St Ives, Cornwall in the UK.
Why did you decide to move to Taghazout?
To teach yoga and enjoy sunshine, surfing, mild winters and hot summers. It's a no brainer!
What do you love about what you do?
For me it's the connection I have with students when they've really let go of what's holding them back. As a teacher, I can see it in a person's eyes when they've had a lightbulb moment and fully experience the clarity it brings.
How do you follow your bliss?
I always do my yoga practice; that keeps me centered. Live simply and resist the need to have things. Do something everyday to build my dream life. Be grateful, for everything.
What is the most rewarding thing about working at Dfrost?
By far, it's being able to give students my best, guiding them through a very personal time, helping them to open their eyes and seeing them grow beyond their own expectation.
What have you learned about yourself since moving to Taghazout?
Being here, I've seen how much I was holding on to possessions and other stuff. Letting go of all that has made life a lot simpler and enjoyable. Also being a guy in a close-knit environment with a majority of women, I see how important it is for me be centered and grounded in who I am, because life flows that way.
Where is your favourite 'secret' hang out?
Imi Ouaddar. A little fishing village north of Taghazout. It's peaceful there and I really enjoy the anonymity of walking in the hills and on the beach.
