The surf shop Almugar was founded in 2003 by Mo – co-owner and co-founder of Dfrost. Born in Taghazout, Mo experienced first-hand the growth of surfing culture and the need for a point of sale that offers surfers easy access to everything from ding fixes to wax, surf lessons and wetsuits.
The store has since grown dramatically to become one of Taghazout’s largest stores. Almugar means “meeting place” in Berber. Mo explains that the name was used from the beginning when the shop was used as a meeting place to look for the best waves as a group.
The Almugar Surf Shop is situated at the entry of Taghazout coming from Agadir. Right in front of the Mosque (there is only one mosque in town) and next to the best Tajine place in the village.
Our core business is the repair of surfboards. Our qualified employees take care of dents and cracks. What makes us special? We import the best repair material from Europe twice a year to make sure the boards stay in good condition after leaving our shop.
