Most of our ingredients are sourced from the region surrounding Villa Surya and freshly purchased several times per week. We mainly work with a nearby eco farm as well as local markets for seasonal fruits and vegetables.

We believe that good food begins with respect — for nature, for quality ingredients and for the people behind them. That is why we prioritise seasonal produce, sustainable farming and fair working conditions.

A Modern Approach to Yogic Cuisine

Our kitchen combines modern wellness nutrition with flavour, creativity and lightness. Rather than restrictive diet food, expect colourful dishes designed to nourish the body, support energy levels and remain easy to digest.

The day begins with tea, lemon water or freshly pressed juice, followed by an extended brunch after the morning yoga session. In the afternoon, healthy snacks provide renewed energy before a freshly prepared four-course dinner is served in the evening.

Fresh fruit, filtered water, tea and coffee are available throughout the day.

Our cuisine is primarily vegetarian, complemented by vegan and occasional raw food options.

Brunch

After your morning yoga class, enjoy a balanced brunch featuring both sweet and savoury elements.

A small insight into our menu:

  • Smoothie bowls
  • Raspberry chia pudding
  • Daily changing egg dishes
  • Homemade spreads such as hummus or beetroot cream
  • Fresh fruit salad with homemade yogurt
  • Freshly baked wholegrain bread & vegan brioche
  • Seasonal vegetables
  • Fresh juices & smoothies

Our menus change regularly and are inspired by seasonality, variety and balanced nutrition.

Snacks

In the afternoon, we serve light snacks designed to restore energy and support the flow of the rest of the day and the evening yoga session.

Depending on the daily menu, this may include:

  • Energy balls
  • Raw carrot cake
  • Homemade chocolate slices
  • Fresh fruit
  • Nuts & healthy snacks

Dinner

Dinner is freshly prepared every evening and served as a four-course menu including starter, salad, main course and dessert.

Examples from our seasonal menus include:

  • Weekly Indian-inspired dinner evening
  • Chickpea tomato soup with stuffed quinoa vegetables
  • Vegetarian BBQ with homemade burgers, skewers and fresh dips
  • Sweet potato lentil soup with spinach tart and vegan chocolate mousse
  • Traditional vegan tajine with seasonal salads and avocado mousse

Our menus evolve with the seasons and the fresh local ingredients available each week.

Nutrition & Experience

The yogic philosophy of nutrition focuses on foods that nourish the body, remain easy to digest and provide sustainable energy throughout the day.

With more than 18 years of experience in the surf, yoga and wellness industry, we have carefully developed a food concept designed to complement the retreat experience as a whole.

We are happy to accommodate allergies and most dietary requirements.
