‘Essaouira’ – the name itself sounds seductive. After a 2.5-hour car ride from the Yoga House, you reach the dreamy coastal city on the Atlantic with our van. The city is car-free and known for its cultural diversity. The nostalgic architecture and history stemming from the Portuguese royal period around 1506 are still visible and can be seen in various places today.
Visit wood workshops, art galleries or small boutiques selling leather clothes or relax and marvel at the white-washed facades. A thing you must do in this seaside town: try a traditional seafood or fish dish.
The harbour is the city’s highlight with its small wooden boats and numerous fishermen. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
